We here at Ecological Internet are extremely concerned regarding
the pace of our year-end fund-raising. After two weeks, we have
raised just over $13,000, only just over a quarter of our goal
necessary to meet basic fixed costs of running our network. If
you value independent, biocentric, science based ecological
advocacy - now is the time to come forward. If you love the
Earth and are worried about Gaia and humanity's future - we need
you. If you believe a network of committed activists connected
through the Internet can change the world, now is the time to
give what you can. If you value our Climate Ark, Forests.org and
other websites, and if you want to ensure Ecological Internet
does not shut its doors when all funds are expended, make a

Ecological Internet is at risk of closing if the pace of support
from our users does not increase. In the two weeks since this
appeal was launched, 500,000 people have used our web sites and
15,000 received our emails, each of which was asked to make a
gift and out of which 84 have chosen thus far to do so. Under
.01% of users are making a donation - the classic free rider
issue of hesitancy to support something that is free because of
expectations others will for you. We have six weeks to raise
just over $35,000. Gifts of all sizes are appreciated, and rest
assured that we will remain open until all funds raised are
expended. But the future of Ecological Internet's unique brand
of science based Internet advocacy has never been more in doubt.
