Do you know a young person (15-25ish) who:
- is concerned by how things are in the world and wants to make a difference?
- is already active in the community and wants to reflect, refocus or
recharge?
- wants to learn, have fun & join a national network of inspiring youth
leaders?
- would benefit from strengthening their skills and creating a plan for
action that
aligns with who they are?
If an individual or group comes to mind for ANY of these questions, please
forward this information to them and encourage them to get involved.
Any help you can provide in promoting OzGREEN s innovative environmental
and leadership training program will be greatly appreciated!
OzGREEN is a small not-for-profit organisation with a limited promotions
budget.
By keeping our publicity and promotions budget low we ensure the cost of our
training courses remain accessible to all youth.
We believe every young person should be given the opportunity to dream big
and gain the skills necessary to realise their dreams. However this means
that
we need people like you to assist us with promoting our programs.
As an OzGREEN facilitator I have seen first-hand the power of the Youth LEAD
program and I am now looking for ways to reach a wider range of youth. By
working together we can reach more young people and provide them with a
real opportunity to make their unique contributions to the world.
And OzGREEN don't just run youth programs, we also have a similar program
for adults of all ages called Leading with the Heart - please let me know if
you're interested in this or know others who might be. We'll run another one
when we have enough participants.
Thank you for your time and I hope you can assist me in finding more future
leaders in sustainability -- Wendy
** OzGREEN's Youth LEAD program (for 15 - 25ish) **
Youth LEAD is an innovative environmental & social action & leadership
training
program, providing young people the skills, motivation and opportunities
to lead
the ways to a sustainable and meaningful future.
An OzGREEN initiative, Youth LEAD is an award-winning program - and
recently received a Eureka Award for Environmental Sustainability Education
(like the Oscar's for environmental education ;-).
Youth LEAD is building a national network of young leaders who are working in
their local community and beyond to build a life-sustaining society. Youth
LEAD
is achieving this through leadership training and mentoring for youth-led,
eco-
social projects that forge pathways to sustainable futures. Youth LEAD
begins
where other leadership programs finish with young people learning to be
leaders by designing and undertaking their own projects and positive action.
