Help Stop the Commercialisation of National Parks

Speak up today or our parks will pay Ö

 only days to go!

The NSW Government has adopted pro-tourism industry recommendations that
put our national parks at risk. Weaker national park protection laws are
being developed to encourage the spread of damaging private cabins, lodges
and ëeco-resortsí in our national parks. The NSW Government has not even
asked the community if they want national parks developed! Environment
groups want a stronger nature tourism industry in NSW and more people
enjoying our parks. This can and must be achieved without park development.
Unless we act now increased development in national parks will be allowed
by law in March.

ATTEND A PUBLIC RALLY

Come learn more about tourism in national parks from experts including
Dr. Martin Taylor (Protected Areas Policy, WWF-Australia), Prof Ralf
Buckley (International Centre for Ecotourism Research, Griffith >Uni),
Andrew Cox (Executive Officer NPA CEO) & Ian Cohen, MLC. This is your
opportunity to support a resolution that NPA and other environment groups
will present to the government to demonstrate public concern for increased
development in national parks.
